Location and How to Reach


The Papagni River flows through the Chittoor and Kadapa districts. If you want to go to the towns you can take a taxi or an auto or even a bus. The nearest railway stations are in Chittoor or Tirupati.
The Tirupati airport is 100 km away, from the Papagni River. Some parts of the roads that go to the Papagni River and the canyon areas are really rough. You can still get there by car or bike.

Best Time to Visit


From October to March is the time to go. The weather is really cool and dry during this time. When the monsoon season comes, which is from June to September the river can get very strong and slippery.
